Srinagar, Dec 9: Amid modern heating systems, demand for Kangri has increased in the Valley to protect from biting cold.
The traditional firepot is sold like hotcakes in Kashmir these days due to cold weather and markets filled with bulk stock, say vendors.
Abdul Majeed, a Kangri vendor outside Hazratbal shrine said that he sold 20 kangris after Friday congregational prayers.
