Coronavirus: JK reports 29 deaths, 1801 positive cases

Srinagar, Jun 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory on Thursday witnessed 29 deaths due to Covid-19 while as 1,801 fresh positive cases were also reported, taking the number of total active cases in the UT to 30,657
With 29 more deaths the death toll in the UT has reached to 3,992 and 1,801 fresh positive cases reported on Thursday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 295,879.
Of the exact number of 295,879 cases, 182,380 are from Kashmir division and 113,499 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 1,801 new cases, 1,247 belong to Kashmir division while as 554 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 182,380 including 160,811 recoveries and 2,045 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 113,499 including 100,419 recoveries and 1,947 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 30,657 including 19,524 from Kashmir division and 11,133 from Jammu division.
With 2,694 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 261,230 which is 88.27 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 329 from Srinagar, 148 from Baramulla, 194 from Budgam, 143 from Pulwama, 126 from Kupwara, 100 from Anantnag, 52 from Bandipora, 67 from Ganderbal, 76 from Kulgam and 12 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 554 from Jammu division include 153 from Jammu, 27 from Udhampur, 92 from Rajouri, 67 from Doda, 46 from Kathua, 15 from Samba, 25 from Kishtwar, 55 from Poonch, 56 from Ramban and 18 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Out of 29 deaths reported today, 05 died in GMC Jammu, 02 in GMC Doda, 02 in GMC Kathua, 02 in SSH Jammu, 01 in SMVDNH Katra, 01 in DH Kishtwar, 01 in DH Reasi, 01 in Capitol Hosp Jalandhar, 04 in SMHS Sgr, 01 in SKIMS JVC Bemina, 01 in SKIMS Soura, 02 in JLNM Srinagar, 01 in CD Hosp Srinagar, 04 in GMC Anantnag & 01 in DH Shopian.
As per officials figures, 66,116 positive cases including 786 deaths and 61,641 recoveries are from Srinagar, 21,738 including 261 deaths and 19,017 recoveries are from Baramulla, 20,748 including 18,728 recoveries and 182 deaths are from Budgam, 13,542 including 11,194 recoveries and 172 deaths are from Pulwama, 12,394 including 148 deaths and 10,752 recoveries are from Kupwara, 14,841 including 11,117 recoveries and 171 deaths are from Anantnag, 8,603 cases including 7,780 and 94 deaths are from Bandipora, 8,925 including 7,790 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ganderbal, 10,100 including 8,574 recoveries and 106 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,373 including 4,218 recoveries and 56 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 51,215 including 45,315 recoveries and 1,085 deaths are from Jammu district, 10,723 including 1,0092 recoveries and 126 deaths are from Udhampur, 9,909 including 8,758 recoveries and 189 deaths are from Rajouri, 5,903 including 4,715 recoveries and 91 deaths are from Doda, 8,876 including 8,395 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Kathua, 6,832 including 5,690 recoveries and 113 deaths are from Samba, 4,071 including 3,783 recoveries and 35 deaths are from Kishtwar, 5,384 including 4,352 recoveries and 79 deaths are from Poonch, 5,232 including 4,409 recoveries and 54 deaths are from Ramban and 5,354 including 4,919 recoveries and 38 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 2,113,730 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 81,418 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 30,657 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 1,851,988 persons have completed surveillance period and 145,675 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 8,697,398 samples are available. Out of 8,697,398 the number of samples tested negative stands at 8,401,519 while as 295,879 have tested positive, among them 30,657 persons are active, 261,230 persons have recovered and 3,992 persons have died.
