Justice Koul inaugurates Record Room at District Court Budgam

Budgam, Mar 4: Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul, Judge High Court of Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh Saturday inaugurated District Record Room and inspected District Court Complex Budgam.
During his maiden visit to District Court Complex Budgam, after assuming charge of Administrative Judge Budgam, Justice Koul also reviewed the progress of ongoing and proposed works at District and subordinate Court including at Magam and Chadoora.
Justice Koul was received by a guard of Honour presented by a squad of J&K Police and welcomed by, S F Hamid Deputy Commissioner Budgam; Mohammad Ashraf Malik, Principal District & Sessions Judge Budgam; Aijaz Ahmad Khan, ADJ and Tahir Gillani, SSP Budgam.
Among others, Noor Mohammad Mir, CJM; Fozia Paul, Secretary DLSA; Sheikh Gowher, Sub Judge; Farah Bashir Munsiff, Mohammad Ashraf, Executive Engineer R&B and Executive Engineer PHE Shakeel Rehman were also present on the occasion.
Later, Justice Koul also chaired a meeting of officers to review progress of ongoing and proposed developmental works and emphasized on timely execution and completion of all projects.
The projects included, New District Court Complex Budgam, construction of Court Complex at Beerwah (Addl. Special Mobile Magistrate, Beerwah), Construction/Expansion of Court Complex, Chadoora, Construction of Munsiff’s Residence and Lawyers Chambers at Magam and Acquisition of Land for construction of Munsiff Court Charar-i-Sharief.
He asserted that work on the ongoing projects be expedited and completed in a stimulated timeframe.
On the occasion, Mohammad Ashraf Malik, Principal District & Sessions Judge Budgam apprized the chair about the ground position regarding infrastructure development and other allied matters of district Budgam.
Justice Koul also inspected the courts and took stock of case disposal and pendencies. He called for ensuring vibrant justice delivery and clearance of pendencies in a time bound manner.
During his visit, Justice Koul also interacted with various senior lawyers including Bar President Adv Nisar Ahmad Kuchay.
Later, Justice Koul also planted a sapling in Court Complex Budgam.
