Shopian, Feb 4: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Shopian Saturday organized a Legal Awareness programme on ‘Women Rights to Property and Maternity Benefits Act’ at the office of Block Training Centre JKRLM Shopian.
On the occasion, Resource Persons Advocate Nasir-Ul-Islam, Advocate Shabir Ahmad Reshie enlightened the participants about various Legal aspects related to the rights of women.
The speakers also spoke about various initiatives and activities of DLSA with regard to the rights of Children and Women folk.
Among others, Irfan Bashir, Manager JKRLM; staff Members of DLSA Shopian, Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) and a large number of women participated.
Around 60 women participants attended the legal awareness programme.
