Jammu, Mar 6: Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha has greeted the people on the joyous occasion of Holi.
In a message, the Lt Governor said that the festival of colours symbolises the spirit of togetherness and harmony.
“Holi inspires us to rejoice in the grandeur of existence and in all its varied colours. May the joy and colour touch the lives of all, strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and usher in peace, prosperity and happiness for all,” the Lt Governor said.
Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar has extended his warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion of Holi -festival of colours.
In his greeting message, Advisor Bhatnagar said that this festival heralds the onset of spring season and reflects cultural mosaic of our country. “Holi is an occasion to rejoice in the glory of nature in all its vibrant colours and symbolizes our nation’s spirit of unity, harmony and cultural diversity”, Advisor said.
The Advisor also prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of entire Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Chief Secretary, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta today greeted the people of the UT on the occasion of Holi festival.
In his message, Dr Mehta, expressed hope that the festivity would promote communal harmony and goodwill in the society.
“May this year’s festival of colours strengthen the social bonding and usher in new hope for a brighter future for all of us,” he said.
He also conveyed best wishes and greetings to the people, and said that “the celebration of various legends associated with Holi reassure the people of the power of truth, as the moral of the festival is the ultimate victory of good over evil”.
