Kulgam, Mar 10: The post of Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO) in Damhal Hanjipora Zone of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district has been lying vacant since last one year, while students interested in sports activities are suffering immensely.
The chair of the Zonal physical education officer Damhal Hanjipora has been lying vacant for the last one year. Students are experiencing immense difficulties in getting their issues resolved or in procuring documents, certificates, Aqib Aeijaz, a student said.
He said the work related to sports activities across the zone have got affected due to unavailability of ZPEO.
An official wishing not to be named said since last one year the post of Zonal physical education officer post is lying vacant at Damhal Hanjipora Zone of district Kulgam.
He said although the Zonal physical education officer Devsar Zone has been given an additional charge of D H Pora Zone, the work is not going on smoothly.
Meanwhile, when contacted, the Department of Youth Services and Sports official said, “The department is very much aware of the issue and the directorate has been informed about the matter and are hopeful that very soon the post will be filled.” (KNO)
