Coronavirus: JK reports 14 deaths, 866 positive cases

Srinagar, Jun 12: The Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory on Saturday witnessed 14 deaths due to Covid-19 while as 866 fresh positive cases were also reported, taking the number of total active cases in the UT to 16,284
With 14 more deaths the death toll in the UT has reached to 4,174 and 866 fresh positive cases reported on Saturday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 306,638
Of the exact number of 306,638 cases, 189,875 are from Kashmir division and 116,763 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 866 new cases, 601 belong to Kashmir division while as 265 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 189,875 including 177,469 recoveries and 2,144 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 116,763 including 108,711 recoveries and 2,030 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 16,284 including 10,262 from Kashmir division and 6,022 from Jammu division.
With 2,153 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 286,180 which is 93.32 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 164 from Srinagar, 66 from Baramulla, 71 from Budgam, 71 from Pulwama, 68 from Kupwara, 51 from Anantnag, 34 from Bandipora, 31 from Ganderbal, 37 from Kulgam and 08 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 265 from Jammu division include 34 from Jammu, 18 from Udhampur, 32 from Rajouri, 45 from Doda, 12 from Kathua, 20 from Samba, 05 from Kishtwar, 29 from Poonch, 50 from Ramban and 20 from Reasi,” officials disclosed
Out of 14 deaths reported today, 02 in GMC Rajouri, 01 in IVY Hosp Amritsar, 01 in CHC Bhaderwah, 01 in DMC Ludhiana, 01 in General Hosp Rajouri, 02 in Home/ Brought Dead, 03 in SMHS Sgr, 01 in DH Ganderbal, 01 in GMC Anantnag & 01 in GMC Baramulla.
As per officials figures, 68,079 positive cases including 811 deaths and 64,910 recoveries are from Srinagar, 22,650 including 273 deaths and 20,729 recoveries are from Baramulla, 21,746 including 20,369 recoveries and 199 deaths are from Budgam, 14,365 including 12,882 recoveries and 180 deaths are from Pulwama, 13,197 including 152 deaths and 12,123 recoveries are from Kupwara, 15,463 including 14,314 recoveries and 192 deaths are from Anantnag, 8,951 cases including 8,455 and 98 deaths are from Bandipora, 9,265 including 8,712 recoveries and 72 deaths are from Ganderbal, 10,667 including 9,850 recoveries and 109 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,491 including 5,125 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 51,965 including 48,706 recoveries and 1,115 deaths are from Jammu district, 10,984 including 10,566 recoveries and 131 deaths are from Udhampur, 10,338 including 9,561 recoveries and 203 deaths are from Rajouri, 6,322 including 5,232 recoveries and 96 deaths are from Doda, 9,057 including 8,752 recoveries and 147 deaths are from Kathua, 6,984 including 6,537 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Samba, 4,222 including 4,012 recoveries and 39 deaths are from Kishtwar, 5,813 including 4,910 recoveries and 83 deaths are from Poonch, 5,532 including 5,074 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Ramban and 5,582 including 5,137 recoveries and 41 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 2,225,407 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 65,797 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 16,284 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,003,635 persons have completed surveillance period and 135,517 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 9,129,947 samples are available. Out of 9,129,947 the number of samples tested negative stands at 8,823,309 while as 306,638 have tested positive, among them 16,284 persons are active, 286,180 persons have recovered and 4,174 persons have died.
