Srinagar, May 6: The School Education Department Saturday sought details of ten toppers or innovative students of each district for deputation of International Conference on ‘Nanotechnology for Better Living’ under the G-20 programme.
Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), has said that it will depute at least ten student toppers or Innovators per district preferably of 11th and 12th Class for International Conference on Nanotechnology for Better Living under G-20 programme.
The director said that the 8th edition of biennial International Conference on Nanotechnology for Better Living (NBL-23) is being organised by NIT Srinagar in association with the prestigious institutions and organisation including IIT BHU from May-25-29, which marks the birth anniversary of a Physicist and an inventor Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit.
He said that a fabulous fusion of biological, chemical, physical, agriculture and health services are expected to provide a vibrant platform to present and discuss path breaking research ideas in nanotechnologies and shall be an interface between academia and industries.
“There is also a need to develop young minds for Nano-science and we have made arrangements for the pre-conference tutorials for school children who are supposed to work for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a shared plan to save the planet,” DSEK said.
The director added that the dedicated sessions, ‘Seeding Nano-science to Young Minds’ and “Nurturing minds for a better world” shall be conducted during the conclave by leading stalwarts, thus handing over this multidisciplinary science to our young and smart generation.
“A galaxy of local innovators and entrepreneurs shall be the part of the summit, along with our own bright students,” DSEK said.
The director accordingly directed the CEOs of the region to depute ten student toppers or Innovators (among toppers from your district in INSPIRE and related innovative model competitions with genuine innovative model) from their respective district for the scientific event on May-23 which marks the inaugural day) at SKUAST-K Srinagar.
“You are further requested to provide the list of students from your district along with their models or innovations as per format along with details of escort teacher,” DSEK informed CEOs.
