Protect Kashmir’s fisheries

No doubt the people had to face tremendous hardships, but the patience of the people has bore fruit as Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir has got its maiden wire-free and exclusively pedestrian market here, known as Polo View, located in the commercial hub area of Lal Chowk. There was a time when the people were seen criticizing the government for digging the roads and carrying out other related works, which led to the frequent traffic congestion and other related issues. However, as soon as the Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL) CEO, Athar Aamir Khan shared the image of the market, wearing a new and dazzling look, the netizens started praising the administration for beautification of roads and streets in Srinagar. The social media is almost flooded with the posts with all praise for the Smart city and administration after the new look of the market. Besides administration, the people in general and traders & transporters in particular deserve the appreciation for their cooperation with the government as without their support the change could not have been witnessed today in Srinagar. With the change witnessed in the market, the expectations are growing among the residents for other works that are being carried out and are about to be completed. There is a need to speed up the pace of the other ongoing works so that the sufferings of people will come to an end and the people visiting Kashmir would witness a developmental change on the ground.
