SIU presents chargesheet against slain militant, aide

Srinagar, May 15: The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Anantnag on Monday presented chargesheet against a militant and militant associate before the NIA Court of the district.
A police spokesman in a statement, said that the SIU presented chargesheet against a militant and militant associate before the NIA Court in a case under FIR number 346/2022 under section 307, 302 IPC, 7/27 A. Act, 17, 18, 20, 23, 38, 39 ULAP Act of Police Station Anantnag.
The chargesheet was presented against a militant associate namely Shaheen Akhter daughter of Bashir Ahmad Ganai resident of Tangward Brenti Batpora Anantnag and a killed militant Umer Nazir Bhat son of Nazir Ahmad the Bhat resident of Bon-Dailgam linked with LeT, the statement said.
However, the investigation of the case is going on under section 173(8) with regard to the technical evidences, report of which is awaited from CFSL Chandigarh, police said.
