Charm of village

A major event is going to take place in Jammu and Kashmir for the first time after the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35-A in 2019. The government is putting every effort to make the event grand success. Adequate measures have been put in place including the security arrangements to ensure that the event culminates peacefully. Every single section of the society is concerned about the event and has extended their support to the government in making the event a grand success. Similarly, the civil society members, traders and others met the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha yesterday and extended their support to the administration and also shared their desires and expectations with regard to the event. Although the people have extended their support, there is a need to make sure that all the line departments are asked to gear up and ensure that there is no loophole in making arrangements for the event. The line departments must be directed to come up with proper backup plans so that there is no failure in any manner while supplying the basic facilities like water, electricity and other supplies. The heads of the concerned departments must make a proper strategy to help the administration in making the event grand success. Besides the public support, the proper backup plans of the line departments are imperative to make the event grand success, which would help J&K in many ways including boosting the economy here.
