Srinagar, June 8: A baby was miraculously rescued by locals and the River Police after she fell from Zero Bridge into the river Jehlum on Thursday late afternoon.
A River Police official said that 2 years-old baby slipped from Zero Bridge Srinagar when she was fiddling with the wooden grills of the bridge.
River Police and the locals present there acted swiftly and retrieved the baby from the river. “She is safe and sound,” the official added.
The baby has been identified as Vicky Kumari daughter of Satveer Singh of Rajasthan India. [KNT]
