DC Rajouri inspects progress on PMAY houses in Dhangri Block

Rajouri, Jul 2: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, Sunday conducted an inspection of the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana (PMAY) houses in Badhoon-B Panchayat of Dhangri block and interacted with the beneficiaries.
Accompanied by a team of officials, the DC visited several PMAY houses in the area and takes stock of the quality of construction, amenities provided and the living conditions of the beneficiaries. He also interacted with the residents and listened to their feedback.
The DC expressed satisfaction with the progress of the PMAY scheme in the area. “I am glad to see that the PMAY scheme is making a real difference in the lives of the people and that they are taking pride in their new homes”, the DC said. He said that our goal is to ensure that every eligible family has access to safe, affordable and dignified housing and we are committed to achieving that goal.”
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the government for their support and shared their views of how the PMAY scheme had transformed their lives.
The DC’s visit to the PMAY houses in Dhangri block has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the welfare of the people. Block Development Officer Dhangri, Javaid Ahmed also accompanied the DC during his visit.
It is pertinent to mention here that a total of 64111 houses were sanctioned in the district including 30394 houses under PMAY-G and 33717 under Awas Plus out of which the work on 28938 houses are complete in all respects while many are in different phases of execution.
