Srinagar, Jul 4: The light rainfall on Tuesday brought respite from the scorching heat in Kashmir that continued for the past few weeks while the weatherman has predicted more rains till July 08.
Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir and other places received light rains Tuesday evening.
The light rains have brought relief from the scorching heat, which continued for the past few weeks in Jammu & Kashmir with intermittent rain spells as well.
Meanwhile, Director Meteorological department (MeT), Sonum Lotus had predicted generally cloudy weather with light to moderate rain at scattered places of Jammu& Kashmir today.
He said that there is a possibility of intermittent light to moderate rain, thunderstorm at many places Wednesday.
Lotus added that from July 06-08, the intermittent light to moderate rain shower is expected at many places of Jammu & Kashmir. “Some places in plains of Jammu region may receive moderate to heavy spells during morning hours,” he said. (KNO)
