Ganderbal, Jul 12: The residents of Ganie Mohalla of Akhal Kangan area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday staged a protest against the Roads & Buildings Department for “failing” to macadamize the road of the village.
The protesters said the dilapidated road is causing several problems for the people of the village. They demanded immediate action from the department.
“We have several times requested the concerned authorities to macadamize the road; we even called their control room many times and complained about the road but no action was taken,” Abdul Ahad, a local, said.
Assistant Executive Engineer R&B said that the work on the road will start in the coming days—(KNO)
