Srinagar, Jul 17: The administration of Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory on Monday terminated services of three government employees, including Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Kashmir University, for their involvement in anti-national activities.
In three separate orders issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the government has terminated Faheem Aslam (Public Relations Officer of University of Kashmir), Murawath Hussain Mir (Revenue Department officer) and Arshid Ahmed Thoker( police constable).
The three have been sacked by invoking 311 (2) (c) of the Constitution of India which allows the state to dispense with an enquiry while sacking an employee.
According to these orders, the Lieutenant Governor is satisfied after considering the facts and circumstances of the case and on the basis of information available, that their activities are such as to warrant their dismissal from services.
These orders further read that LG is satisfied under sub-clause (C) of the proviso to clause (2) of Article 311 of the Constitution of India that in the interest of security of the state, it is not expedient to hold enquiry in these cases.
It is pertinent to mention that as a Lieutenant Governor of J&K UT Manoj Sinha has adopted the policy of “zero tolerance against terrorism”. “So far, he has successfully broken the back of terrorism and systematically dismantled the terror eco-system that was thriving in J&K prior to the abrogation of 370,” sources in the J & K government said.
With the latest three termination order, the count has climbed to 52 officers who have been sacked for their link with terror outfits.
