Srinagar, Jun 21: The Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory on Monday witnessed 10 deaths due to Covid-19 while as 362 fresh positive cases were also reported, taking the number of total active cases in the UT to 7,759.
With 10 more deaths the death toll in the UT has reached to 4,262 and 362 fresh positive cases reported on Monday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 312,156
Of the exact number of 312,156 cases, 193,777 are from Kashmir division and 118,379 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 362 new cases, 261 belong to Kashmir division while as 101 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 193,777 including 186,706 recoveries and 2,188 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 118,379 including 113,429 recoveries and 2,074 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 7,759 including 4,883 from Kashmir division and 2,876 from Jammu division.
With 1,224 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 300,135 which is 96,14 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 79 from Srinagar, 14 from Baramulla, 37 from Budgam, 21 from Pulwama, 22 from Kupwara, 44 from Anantnag, 11 from Bandipora, 13 from Ganderbal, 18 from Kulgam and 02 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 101 from Jammu division include 09 from Jammu, 10 from Udhampur, 15 from Rajouri, 27 from Doda, 01 from Kathua, 01 from Samba, 08 from Kishtwar, 09 from Poonch, 13 from Ramban and 08 from Reasi,” officials disclosed
Meanwhile, authorities on Monday said that one fresh case of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and toll of total cases of Mucormycosis have reached to 25.
Out of 10 deaths reported today, 01 died in GMC Doda, 01 in GMC Rajouri, 01 in DH Kishtwar, 03 in SMHS Sgr, 02 in DH Pulwama, 01 in DH Kulgam & 01 in SKIMS Soura.
As per officials figures, 69,227 positive cases including 820 deaths and 67,117 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,025 including 276 deaths and 22,213 recoveries are from Baramulla, 22,332 including 21,493 recoveries and 201 deaths are from Budgam, 14,700 including 13,891 recoveries and 188 deaths are from Pulwama, 13,578 including 160 deaths and 12,875 recoveries are from Kupwara, 15,845 including 15,206 recoveries and 197 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,170 cases including 8,827 and 99 deaths are from Bandipora, 9,457 including 9,163 recoveries and 76 deaths are from Ganderbal, 10,907 including 10,483 recoveries and 113 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,536 including 5,438 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 52,243 including 50,250 recoveries and 1,124 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,091 including 10,847 recoveries and 131 deaths are from Udhampur, 10,565 including 10,097 recoveries and 214 deaths are from Rajouri, 6,645 including 5,849 recoveries and 108 deaths are from Doda, 9,156 including 8,819 recoveries and 149 deaths are from Kathua, 7,037 including 6,821 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Samba, 4,342 including 4,177 recoveries and 41 deaths are from Kishtwar, 5,978 including 5,573 recoveries and 87 deaths are from Poonch, 5,743 including 5,467 recoveries and 60 deaths are from Ramban and 5,579 including 5,429 recoveries and 42 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 2,324,018 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 35,242 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 7,759 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,084,479 persons have completed surveillance period and 192,276 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 9,537,386 samples are available. Out of 9,537,386 the number of samples tested negative stands at 9,225,230 while as 312,156 have tested positive, among them 7,759 persons are active, 300,135 persons have recovered and 4,262 persons have died.
