Aaqib Khan

Rajouri, Aug 8: The police have finally apprehended the absconder, Mohd Aslam, who had been evading arrest for a staggering 16 years. The accused, wanted in connection with FIR No. 47/2007 U/S 307/323/34 RPC at P/S Manjakote, has been on the run since the commission of the offense. However, after relentless efforts and a meticulous investigation, law enforcement agencies achieved a major breakthrough in the case.
The case, registered against Mohd Aslam S/o Mohd Syed R/o Naika Panjgrain, involved grave charges under sections 307 (attempt to murder), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of a common intention) of the Indian Penal Code. Following the incident, the accused managed to flee to Saudi Arabia, complicating the process of bringing him to justice. Nevertheless, the law enforcement authorities exhibited utmost professionalism and determination in pursuing the case. With a thorough investigation and meticulous evidence collection, the case was eventually presented in court. Initially charged under Section 512 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), it was later modified to 299 CrPC after the completion of the investigation.
The long-awaited arrest of Mohd Aslam was the result of a well-coordinated operation conducted by a dedicated police team. Led by the SHO Manjakote, Abrar Khan, the team skillfully combined technical and human intelligence inputs to locate and apprehend the accused. The pivotal role played by PSI Lalit Salaria and the effective supervision of SDPO Manjakote Zafar Rather further contributed to this major success.
