Jal Jeevan Mission fortnight celebrations: Special Gram Sabha, Nukad Natak, rally conducted at Buffliaz

Poonch, Aug 11: A Special Gram Sabha, and a rally was conducted by district Jal Jeevan Mission Poonch, DPMU and ISA, Society For Scheduled and Backwards in Block Buffliaz.
The Special Gram Sabha was conducted at Higher Secondary School Buffliaz in which Superintending Engineer Hydraulic Circle Poonch Er. Rajinder K Sharma, principle Govt Higher Secondary School Buffliaz Sayed Imtiaz Kazmi, AE Er Shahid Bashir, JE Er. Zafar Manhas, Sarpanches Tahira Tabassum and Mehmood Ahmed, Paani Samiti members, prominent villagers of Village Buffliaz and the school staff and students participated.
The Superintending Engineer Hydraulic Circle Poonch, Er. Rajinder K Sharma addressed a huge gathering over there and delivered a comprehensive lecture and presented a detailed scenario about Jal Jeevan Mission of district Poonch. He also talked about the conservation of water resources through rain water harvesting and grey water management. He also issued the direction to the field staff to complete the JJM scheme in every village so that every household will get functional tap connection.
A Nukad Natak and Audio-Visual Show was also performed at village Buffliaz which aimed at providing awareness about water sanitation & hygiene and roles and responsibilities of Pani Samitis. The audience especially Gram Panchayat members appreciated the Jal Shakti department for organising such an importance programmes at grass root level.
A rally was also conducted under Jal Jeevan Mission Fortnight Celebration in which Superintending Engineer Hydraulic Circle Poonch, DPMU officials, Students and staff members of GHSS Buffliaz participated. The students raised the slogan of HAR GHAR NAL SE JAL.
Notably, the ISA, Society For Scheduled and Backwards has played major role in organising this huge event which was appreciated by principle GHSS Buffliaz Sayed Imtiaz Kazmi, Sarpanch Tahira Tabassum and prominent villagers of block Buffliaz.
