Srinagar, Oct 12: A woman, who was left injured in a road accident in the Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday, succumbed to her injuries at SKIMS Soura hospital Thursday.
According to reports, the deceased woman has been identified as Mubeena Banu (40), a resident of Larnoo, Anantnag. She, accompanied by other injured persons, was admitted at SKIMS Soura where she breathed her last.
In the accident, a total of seven persons suffered injuries and an ayurvedic doctor, Mushtaq Ahmad Shapoo, died immediately after the incident when a Tata Sumo vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road at the Bidhard area of Kokernag.
After the 40-year-old woman’s death, the toll of the accident has risen to two. (CNS)
