A decade of Digital India

In the society where the crime rate is increasing at a rapid pace, one needs to understand the role of religious organizations at this juncture to control the situation well on time. Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, has once again witnessed a case of stabbing as two youth have reportedly stabbed another youngsters with a sharp edged weapon after some quarrel. One fails to understand how the youth are getting prepared to stab someone with an intention to kill. It is something that is painting a grim picture of the situation in J&K’s capital. But, witnessing such a situation without playing a role in it would in no way help the society to control and curb such activities. It needs to be understood that it has not remained a job of the government only, but the society in general should intervene and come up with the solution to put an end to such crime incidents. Nonetheless, the religious organizations with the active support of the people, should come up with some solutions so that a civic sense prevails among the younger generation. Moreover, there is a need to launch a drive and identify all the ‘rowdy’ within the localities so that the availability of sharp edged weapons with them are ascertained and strict action is taken against them as well as their parents, who are responsible for letting their beloved indulging in criminal acts by not taking their proper care. It is the time when the government should come up with a stringent law against these criminals so that nobody could dare to take part in such activities in the future.
