Police crack Bemina blind murder case, four held

Srinagar, Oct 23: A blind murder case of Bemima Srinagar was cracked within 5 days, by arresting four accused persons involved in the crime, police said.
Sharing details, officials, said on October 17, the Police Station Bemina received an information from reliable sources that an unidentified woman was murdered, and her body was found on the roadside at Durbal, Bemina. Immediately, a police team of Police Station Bemina rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
“Accordingly, case FIR No. 101/2023 u/s 302 IPC was registered at Police station Bemina, and investigation was initiated with the deceased later identified as Tanveera, wife of Showkat Ahmad Kaloo, resident of Nundresh Colony B, Batamaloo, Srinagar.”
“As the detailed investigation followed by the team headed by SDPO West and assisted by SHO PS Bemina, it was established that the aforementioned woman was murdered on 16, October 2023, at West End Colony, Hyderpora, and subsequently, her dead body was shifted from Hyderpora to Durbal Bemina to divert the investigation agency,” said the officials.
They further added that, “Based upon available technical evidence, sustained interrogation of the suspects, and subsequent recoveries, 04 accused persons were identified. They are Abina Parveez (sister-in-law of the deceased) W/o Parveez Ahmad Shah R/o West End Colony, Hyderpora; 2nd—a minor female child (name withheld); 3rd—Gh. Mohd Ahanger S/o Late Haji Gh. Hussain Ahanger R/o Khushipora HMT a/p Gulposh Apartment Bemina & Jala Wadoo W/o Gh. Mohd Ahanger R/o Khushipora HMT a/p Gulposh Apartment Bemina. Father and Mother of accused no.1 have been arrested by Police Station Bemina so far, and further investigation is going on.” (KNO)
