Coronavirus: 7 deaths, 364 new cases in JK

Srinagar, Jun 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Union territory on Wednesday witnessed 07 deaths due to Covid-19 while as 364 fresh positive cases were also reported, taking the number of total active cases in the UT to 4,600.
With 07 more deaths the death toll in the UT has reached to 4,323 and 364 fresh positive cases reported on Wednesday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 315,662
Of the exact number of 315,662 cases, 195,989 are from Kashmir division and 119,673 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 364 new cases, 215 belong to Kashmir division while as 149 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 195,989 including 191,099 recoveries and 2,218 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 119,673 including 115,640 recoveries and 2,105 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 4,600 including 2,672 from Kashmir division and 1,928 from Jammu division.
With 562 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 306,739 which is 97,17 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 67 from Srinagar, 32 from Baramulla, 31 from Budgam, 07 from Pulwama, 12 from Kupwara, 26 from Anantnag, 10 from Bandipora, 09 from Ganderbal, 18 from Kulgam and 03 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 149 from Jammu division include 19 from Jammu, 08 from Udhampur, 13 from Rajouri, 31 from Doda, 03 from Kathua, 02 from Samba, 14 from Kishtwar, 08 from Poonch, 06 from Ramban and 45 from Reasi,” officials disclosed
Meanwhile, authorities on Wednesday said that no fresh case of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and toll of total cases of Mucormycosis stands at 29.
Out of 07 deaths reported today, 01 died in GMC Jammu , 01 in GMC Rajouri, 01 in Home/Brought dead, 02 in GMC Anantnag, 01 in SKIMS JVC Bemina & 01 in CD hospital Srinagar.
As per officials figures, 69,983 positive cases including 828 deaths and 68,297 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,244 including 278 deaths and 22,697 recoveries are from Baramulla, 22,556 including 22,097 recoveries and 204 deaths are from Budgam, 14,861 including 14,475 recoveries and 192 deaths are from Pulwama, 13,798 including 165 deaths and 13,367 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,060 including 15,565 recoveries and 202 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,302 cases including 9,038 and 100 deaths are from Bandipora, 9,588 including 9,322 recoveries and 76 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,043 including 10,760 recoveries and 115 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,554 including 5,481 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 52,392 including 50,677 recoveries and 1,133 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,173 including 10,953 recoveries and 131 deaths are from Udhampur, 10,707 including 10,328 recoveries and 220 deaths are from Rajouri, 6,830 including 6,477 recoveries and 113 deaths are from Doda, 9,205 including 9,017″ recoveries and 149 deaths are from Kathua, 7,061 including 6,916 recoveries and 119 deaths are from Samba, 4,469 including 4,293 recoveries and 42 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,092 including 5,774 recoveries and 91 deaths are from Poonch, 5,834 including 5,672 recoveries and 64 deaths are from Ramban and 5,910 including 5,533 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 2,423,100 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 16,686 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 4,600 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,175,515 persons have completed surveillance period and 221,976 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 9,960,678 samples are available. Out of 9,960,678 the number of samples tested negative stands at 9,645,016 while as 315,662 have tested positive, among them 4,600 persons are active, 306,739 persons have recovered and 4,323 persons have died.
