Keep Kashmir connected

Celebrations of Vigilance Awareness Week, which commenced on October 30th and will culminate on November 05, 2023 is in full swing across Jammu & Kashmir as all the departments including the hospitals have organized the functions, raising awareness among the masses and taking a pledge to make the Union Territory ‘corruption free’. There are several instances when the government made it clear through the actions that nobody involved in corrupt practices will be spared as many of Panchs, Sarapanchs, government officers and officials have so far been arrested by the concerned authorities in the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). Every single complaint was acted upon thoroughly and the people involved in such practices were taken to the task. In the meantime, the pledge taking ceremonies across Jammu & Kashmir is an indication that the government is eyeing to ensure the complete elimination of corruption menace from the society in the Union Territory. The week long awareness campaign is in addition to the government measures against corruption as such events will certainly make people aware of the things that need to be avoided and also raise concerns and voice at the apt level so that the action is initiated if anything wrong is taking place in the government run institutions. One needs to appreciate the move of organizing week long events at different platforms, but what needs to be done at this juncture is to ensure that the participation of people is ensured in every event so that the motive behind observing the week in Jammu & Kashmir is achieved.
