Srinagar, Nov 2: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday said to have arrested two terrorist associates linked with Al-Badr from Shalteng area of Srinagar.
During late night checking at a security checkpoint along Shalteng Bridge by the joint parties of PS Parimpora and PC Mujgund, 2 terrorist associates linked with proscribed terror outfit Al-Badr were arrested, a police spokesman said in a statement.
They have been identified as Yawar Rashid son of Abdul Rashid Dar and Basit Nabi son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat resident of SaderBala, Bandipora.
During search, incriminating materials, arms & ammunition including 01 Pistol, 02 Pistol Magazines, 28 Pistol rounds and 01 Hand Grenade was recovered from their possession, police said.
Regarding the incident, police said that a case under FIR number 159/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered in PS Parimpora and investigation has been initiated. (KNO)
