Union Joint Secretary reviews arrangements for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Nov 17: Union Joint Secretary and Additional Financial Advisor, Ministry of Defence, Amitabh Ranjan Sinha, Friday chaired a comprehensive meeting to review and strategize the arrangements for impending “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,” here at Conference Hall, Mini Secretariat, Ganderbal.
Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shyambir, SSP, Nikhil Borkar, ADDC, ADC, ACR, CPO, SDM Kangan and all district officers were present in the meeting.
Deputy Commissioner briefed the meeting about the plan formulated and the arrangements being put in place for smooth conduct of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. He informed that the Yatra will commence on 20th of November 2023 and continue for 20 days.
The focus of the yatra will be on reaching out to people, raising awareness, and offering the advantages of welfare programs like access to LPG cylinders, electricity connections, sanitation facilities, basic financial services, food security, healthy nutrition, dependable healthcare, clean drinking water, etc.
To enhance efficiency of the campaign, IT portal has been establishment at the district level that will serve as centralized hub for event monitoring and information dissemination, informed the DC.
The DC, in anticipation of the Yatra, underscored the importance of targeting far-flung areas and extending the welfare schemes to all the eligible beneficiaries, illustrating the commitment towards comprehensive development.
Amitabh Ranjan Sinha stressed on the importance of data collection, careful planning, innovation, and collaborative effort to ensure the success of this initiative.
With a keen eye on inclusivity, Union Joint Secretary commended the leadership of DC Ganderbal, recognizing his crucial role in steering the Yatra towards its goals.
