Police arrest drug peddler in Baramulla

Srinagar, Nov 18: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A police party of Police Station Chandoosa headed by SHO PS Chandoosa under the supervision of SDPO Kreeri at a checkpoint established at Darwa Chandoosa intercepted one person identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Ganie son of Ali Mohammad Ganie resident of Mongam Kreeri. During search, 50 grams of Charas like substance was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Chandoosa where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Chandoosa and further investigation has been initiated.
