The introduction of e-rickshaws and e-bus services by the government has brought a respite to the people, especially in City areas where the absence of passenger vehicles was pushing the locals to the wall. However, the routes identified by the government after considering the lack of public transport have certainly brought a relief to the locals in the particular areas, but there are still dozens of places where the lack of public transport is giving a tough time to the inhabitants. The people from different places are raising their concern and also making fervent appeals to the concerned authorities to introduce e-bus services in their areas. The government has recently launched 75 electric buses in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, and announced that more 25 will be plying soon. However, the demands raised by the people from different places including Pantha Chowk, Zaffran Colony, Nowgam, Pehru, Lasjan, Soiteng and other adjacent areas needs to considered at this juncture. The launch of 100 e-buses in Srinagar would achieve its target only after every single locality will get benefitted, therefore the concerned Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL) should look into the matter and identify all the areas where the e-buses are not plying yet. Therefore, the SSCL should ensure benefit to all as the incumbent regime has been focused and committed to equitable growth and development, thus simultaneously to achieve the mission and target, it is imperative that those who are not benefited with the e-buses should be included so that they also could heave a sigh of relief.
