DC convenes DVC meet at Baramulla

Discusses preparation for revision of rates for 2024

Baramulla, Dec 8: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar Friday presided over a meeting of the District Valuation Committee (DVC) to deliberate on the preparation for the revision of market value guidelines and rates for the upcoming calendar year 2024 at Meeting hall of DC Office complex, here.
The meeting encompassed a comprehensive review of revised proposals presented by Sub-divisional level committees, all committees, focusing on the revision of annual stamp duty rates and the market value of land, buildings, and other immovable property within the district.
Committee members briefed the DC on the thorough analysis of rates, providing insights into the area/ village-wise percentage changes for incorporation in the year 2024.
The DC took a detailed overview of the methodology adopted, field exercises conducted, and the parameters considered in formulating the proposed rates.
During the meeting, the DC held a brief deliberation on the proposals submitted by the committee members.
They emphasized that the revised rates are meticulously established in accordance with the criteria for rate fixation.
This meeting signifies a crucial step in ensuring transparent and well-informed decision-making regarding property valuation and stamp duty rates in Baramulla for the upcoming year.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Zahoor Ahmad Raina; Superintending Engineer R&B, Reyaz Ahmad Parry; Divisional Forest Officer JV Division Baramulla, District Panchayat Officer, Executive Officer Municipal Council Baramulla, Tehsildars Baramulla, Representative of Town Planner and other concerned officials.
