While assessing the situation of educational scenarios in the schools across Jammu and Kashmir, the administration has taken note of several things and has directed the officers concerned to take initiatives. Similarly, the newly appointed Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo has taken note of the female literacy rate of the Union Territory and advised the department to take every initiative in bringing each girl child to the school here. He asked the department to further enhance the enrollment ratio in the government schools as their potential has not yet been harnessed fully. However, to increase the female literacy rate in Jammu & Kashmir, there is a need to take major initiatives that would bring respite to the girl students. The washroom facility at every school needs to be ensured in all the government schools, especially in the far-flung areas, so that the major concern of the girl students would be addressed. The absence of washrooms in the past have become one among the major reasons for the girl students to stop pursuing their educational goals, but this issue needs to be taken care of on priority so that the girl students would once again join their schools to pursue their goals. Besides, the environment for the girl students should be different and suitable so that there would be no hesitation for them to attend the classes. In the recent past, a few incidents have taken place when the teachers were found involved in using unparliamentary language with the students, which also needs to be taken care of, so that the girls would get a favourable atmosphere to spread their wings to fly and make the entire nation proud with their abilities and skills.
