Handwara, Jul 5: Additional Deputy Commissioner Handwara Nazir Ahmad on Monday directed Tehsildar Langate to confine the illegal encroachments on Langate- Haril road.
Earlier, District Development Council Mawer, Khursheed Ahmad Dar has written a letter to ADC Handwara demanding gear up the work on Langate Haril road via Shanoo.
DDC Mawer, said today he met ADC Handwara and discussed the plan with him and soon after the meeting ended, ADC directed the concerned Tehsildar to Demarcate the encroachments which have stopped the work on this stretch.
Tehsildar Langate, said he has received the letter today and he will constitute a team of revenue, R&B officials to check the status of the said road.
He also said, earlier the department was also called but they didn’t appear.
Meanwhile, the people living on this stretch have expressed gratitude to DDC Mawer Khursheed Ahmad Dar for taking the important stretch.
