Srinagar, Dec 12: While there has been no forecast of any major weather activity, the night temperature has improved across the Valley on Tuesday, but continued to settle below freezing point.
Director Meteorological department, Dr Mukhtar Ahmad said that the minimum temperature has recorded a slight improvement due to weak Western Disturbance (WD).
Earlier, the Meteorological Department had predicted light rains and snowfall from December 12 to December 12 under the influence of a weak western disturbance affecting J&K from today.
However, the MeT director said that dry and cold weather would most likely continue till 21st December over most places of J&K with possibility of brief spell of very light snow at isolated extreme higher reaches of north & north eastern parts of Kashmir during the night of December 16.
