Srinagar, Dec 13: The government on Wednesday said that the critical flyovers at Bemina and Sanat Nagar in Srinagar will be dedicated to the people in March next year, saying that the work on the projects is in full swing.
Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, said that there has been a substantial progress in the construction work of vital flyover at Bemina and Sanat Nagar and Batingo Crossing (Bijbehara) and are near completion.
He added that the soil work on Batingo crossing is in full swing. “Although the project has missed the deadline due to some issues, which have now been resolved, the work is going on in a pace and will be completed by December 31,” he said, adding the two-way traffic will ply on the crossing soon.
These infrastructural projects are poised to significantly enhance connectivity and ease traffic congestion in the respective areas, he said while emphasizing the paramount importance of the Batingo Crossing, highlighting the ongoing extensive work at the location that is swiftly advancing.
Regarding Bemina and Sanat Nagar flyovers, the Div Com announced a significant milestone. “The implementation of these flyovers aligns with the administration’s objective to enhance the region’s infrastructure and provide a seamless commuting experience for residents and commuters alike. We are expecting to dedicate the flyover to people by March next year,” he said.
