Srinagar, Dec 20: The divisional administration Kashmir on Wednesday said that better arrangements will be put in place to ensure smooth annual Amarnath yatra in the valley in 2024.
Talking to the media persons, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri in Srinagar stated that far better arrangements would be put in place for Yatra 2024.
He also highlighted the significance of the Shri Amarnath Yatra beyond its religious essence. Bidhuri said that last year’s yatra saw a record number of pilgrims.
He emphasized that Shri Amarnath Yatra is more than just a religious pilgrimage, adding that health aspects become critical and thus sensitizing people before the yatra is even more important.
“Today, we conducted a meeting with health officials and ensured the full screening of pilgrims,” Bidhuri said, adding, “We are also making exponential progress for the Amarnath Yatra.”
“One of the best arrangements, whether it’s road widening or disaster management, is being carried out,” he stated.
