Srinagar, Jan 12: The comprehensive fire safety audit of all major shrines of Kashmir is currently in progress and is all set to be completed in the coming weeks, the officials in the Waqf Board said on Friday.
The fire safety audit is a crucial initiative undertaken by the Waqf Board to ensure the protection of revered shrines from potential fire hazards.
Authorities emphasized the importance of implementing stringent safety measures to safeguard these religious sites, given their historical and cultural significance.
According to the details available, the audit process is in the final stage, showcasing the commitment to prioritize the safety of worshipers and preserving the architectural heritage of these shrines.
Officials of the Waqf Board said that the audit is ongoing and will be completed soon, adding that the audit has been done in all major shrines of Kashmir valley.
Regarding the safety measures in place, he added that the shrines have to pursue the equipment by themselves and then have to get an NOC from the Fire and Emergency Department following which the Waqf board will do a check-up on the safety measures taken for major Shrines in the valley.
