Solar panels must for better electricity

The power paucity has continued to remain a major challenge in the present circumstances, while the government has rolled out ‘PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana’, which is aimed to boost solar power and sustainable progress and also expected to light up one crore households by providing up to 300 units of free electricity every month. However, the administration in Jammu and Kashmir has also taken measures in this regard by making it mandatory for all its departments to install solar power panels with an aim to tackle the persistent power shortage. Government offices are required to furnish information regarding the amount of available space without any shading, specify whether the office operates in a rented or government-owned building, and detail the monthly expenses incurred on power bills. This comprehensive data will aid in customizing solar solutions that align with the unique requirements of each department. The move is particularly timely considering the increasing demand for electricity and the associated costs incurred by government departments. Solar panels not only offer a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative but also provide a long-term solution to the perennial issue of power paucity. Amidst this process, the people also must be made aware about the solar panel and should be encouraged to install it at their home so that the long-pending issue of power paucity can be addressed in a shortest possible time. The solar panels can play a key role in ending the frequent grievances of power paucity in Kashmir, but the administration has to play its role by making the citizens aware about the benefits of the facility so that the government and the general public in unison will work in coordination to end the power paucity once for all.
