While the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to visit Jammu & Kashmir on Tuesday where he is scheduled to inaugurate several developmental projects. This visit will be his last to J&K as PM during the present government as the country is set to go for polls a few months after to elect the new government. This visit holds a significant relevance as the people especially the political parties in Jammu and Kashmir are keen to hear any statement from the Prime Minister about the restoration of Statehood, which has been promised by the incumbent central government while downgrading the State to Union Territory on August 05, 2019. The developmental projects worth Rs 30500 crore are set to be inaugurated on February 20, but what needs to be seen is whether the Prime Minister will make any statement on the assembly polls in Jammu & Kashmir and also about the restoration of Statehood. There are expectations among the people in this regard as the Prime Minister is scheduled to kick-start his campaigning for the next Lok Sabha polls from Jammu & Kashmir. It would be interesting to see whether the Prime Minister’s visit to Jammu and Kashmir will appease the political leaders from different parties as there are expectations among the people affiliated with the political podiums, who are hopeful that like every visit, this would be one more exciting day for the citizens. Besides the expectations, the developmental projects set to be inaugurated in Jammu will ease the life of people and among them; some projects will bring a massive relief to the people here as there would be no need for the citizens to visit the outside states for treatment or educational purposes as well.
