When answers raise more questions

The plantation drives launched from time to time may help in improving the prevailing conditions, but the encroachment of the forest land at the same time is all set to play a spoilsport, which needs the attention of the administration to remove it at an earliest. The reports have clearly mentioned nearly 14 hectares of forest land from two wildlife sanctuaries in Jammu region have been encroached by different individuals, groups and agencies till 2023. At least 6.35 hectares of forest land from Ramnagar and 7.50 hectares of forest land from Nandini wildlife sanctuaries have been encroached. There is a total of 3150 hectares of land in Ramnagar wildlife sanctuary and 3334 in Nandini sanctuary respectively and the encroachment of 6.35 hectares and 7.50 hectares respectively at the twin places was reportedly done prior to the notification of the areas as protected areas. The forest land plays a key role in ensuring a better human life, but the encroachment is nothing less than an intrusion in nature, which may have serious repercussions if the issues are not resolved timely. The intrusion of humans with nature has ended up in climate change, which has affected the human population in many ways, but such issues need to be put to an end everywhere. The time has come when serious action needs to be taken in this regard and ensure that the forests are protected and nobody is allowed to encroach the forest land in Jammu and Kashmir.
