Srinagar, Mar 14: At least three shops were damaged in a massive blaze that broke out in Lal Chowk area of Srinagar on Thursday.
Officials said that three shops namely Islamic Gift Corner, Shahjee Shawls, Ambersari Kulcha Dhaba were gutted in the early morning fire due to an electric short circuit.
He added that roofing, wooden shelves/counters, furniture of all shops along with gift items, pashmina shawls, utensils etc were damaged in the fire.
“Besides that one shop having two shutters in the ground floor of Ashraf Arts Emporium of other adjacent four-story shopping complex sustained indirect damage due to heat and water,” added the officials.
