Doda, Apr 7: District Administration Doda, under the guidance of District Election Officer (DEO), Harvinder Singh, organised a Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program.
The program, supervised by Nodal Officer SVEEP Manoj Kumar, drew large gathering of students and local inhabitants who actively participated in the SVEEP activities.
The event kicked off with a vibrant rally from DC office complex in , flagged off by the DEO.
Students and local residents enthusiastically joined the procession as it made its way to old bus stand in Doda. At the old bus stand, a captivating Nukad Natak titled “Lokatantra Ka Asli Mantra” was presented by the Natrang group. Directed by Neeraj Kant and featuring Balwant Thakur’s script, the nukkad natak aimed to highlight the essence of democracy and importance of voting.
The nukkad natak at the old bus stand drew large audience from surrounding areas and students. The main objective of the performance was to promote awareness about the significance of casting votes during elections. Through creative and engaging theatrical performances, the District Administration aims to encourage active participation in democratic process and underscored the importance of each vote in shaping the future of the nation.
The District Administration, Doda, extended an invitation to all citizens to join the movement for electoral participation, titled “Nothing Like Voting: 1 Vote for Sure,” an event aimed to inspire citizens to exercise their democratic right.
