Anantnag, Jul 19: Protesters blocked Kokarnag-Anantnag road near Palapora Dialgam for vehicular traffic against the continuous water shortage in the area.
Men, women and children hit to road and blocked it, demanding drinking water supply. They said their Papapora area is witnessing acute water scarcity from past two months while nobody is interested in addressing their grievance.
Commuters faced lot of inconvenience dur to closure of road. Women flock displayed empty vessels and raised slogans against PHE Department.
Police and civil official rushed to spot and assured protesters that matter will be resolved without any delay. (KNT)
