Keep Kashmir connected

The daily wagers, who have been struggling for decades to get regularized, have been once again promised of the measures in this regard by the political parties during the ongoing elections. The different political parties have made such promises with an aim to get votes from the large chunk of the daily wagers, but in turn they have got just disappointment and nothing else. However, yet again one of the candidates from Srinagar Parliamentary constituency has claimed that the plight of more than 65,000 daily-rated, temporary, casual, seasonal, local fund, contractual teachers, contractual lecturers, contractual college level assistant professors, contingency-paid, and other workers is of grave concern and stated that he will advocate for their case in the Parliament of India and will raise and press the government to redress their case on a priority basis by making a Job Policy for them. One fails to understand why the party he belongs to has failed to make this sure for the daily wagers when they formed the government in Jammu & Kashmir previously. The questions can be raised, but the daily wagers at this juncture should not fall prey to anyone. The candidates, who are in fray for the polls should make the promises which they can fulfill and must not hurt the sentiments of the people by making the promises which would not be achievable to them. It is the time when the people need to come out of their homes and ensure the win of democracy by casting their ballots in large numbers to ensure that their best candidate emerges victorious, who can help them to ensure proper development and the redressal of their genuine issues.
