Dr. Qadri provided in-depth and comprehensive lectures on various aspects of sericulture, highlighting the importance of this traditional practice in the twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch. He praised the efforts of the Director of Poonch Campus, Prof. Rakesh Vaid, for his commitment to promoting sericulture in these regions, which once thrived on this trade as a primary source of income for the locals.
In his message, Prof. Rakesh Vaid expressed his gratitude to Dr. Qadri for visiting the Poonch Campus and sharing his expertise. “Poonch Campus is dedicated to reviving and promoting sericulture in this border district, which was once the main earning trade of the local population. We are honored to have Dr. Qadri with us, and his insights will greatly benefit our students and the broader community,” Prof. Vaid remarked.
