Keep Kashmir connected

While the Muslim festival, Eid-ul-Adha is set to be observed across the country on June 17, the people are busy with buying essentials, especially the sacrificial animals to obey the command of Allah on the particular occasion. However, the shoppers at this juncture need a smooth passage to buy essentials without facing any hindrance. But, one needs to understand that the smooth passage cannot be expected or ensured without the efforts of the government. The concerned departments need to pull up the socks and ensure that the market checking squads are increased ahead of the Eid-ul-Adha, so that the people won’t face any hardships and sufferings during these days. It has been observed that the rates of essentials are being unnecessarily hiked, which leave thousands of people to lurch at large. But, since the statements have been made so far, claiming the increase in the vigil in the markets, the people are expecting a smooth shopping ahead of the Eid. Therefore, the markets need to be visited in Srinagar and elsewhere throughout the day, to ensure that the skyrocketing prices of essentials will put to an immediate end for the wellbeing of the people. At this juncture, the concerned associations of traders, other business units should also make their efforts to ensure that the people are not pushed to the wall ahead of the holy festival, which would also help them to ensure a good business ahead of the Eid and also help them to earn bread and butter for their families as well.
