Ganderbal, Jul 6: The Jammu and Kashmir government has implemented comprehensive facilities for pilgrims in the ongoing annual Amarnath Yatra. Both the Baltal and Nunwan routes are equipped with extensive support services to facilitate the journey to the Amarnath Cave.
In Baltal, various departments are providing advanced health facilities and essential services like 24×7 electricity.
The Power Development Department (PDD) has played a pivotal role in enhancing the pilgrimage experience by installing lights along the Baltal track leading to the Amarnath Cave Shrine. This initiative ensures a safe environment for travelers.
The lights have transformed the route from Baltal to the cave, facilitating smooth and secure movement, particularly during early morning and late evening hours when the track is usually dim.
This measure significantly reduces the risk of accidents and injuries, offering a sense of relief to participants.
Many travelers, including a group from Gujarat, have expressed gratitude for the improved facilities and the efforts of the PDD circle Ganderbal in installing the lights. “The circle PDD team has done an excellent job in installing the lights. Their efforts have made a significant difference in our yatra,” said the group from Gujarat.
Pertinently, the initiatives taken by the Jammu and Kashmir Government and the PDD are significantly contributing to a safer and more comfortable pilgrimage experience for all Amarnath Yatra participants.
