Jammu, Jul 30: A terror associate was apprehended on Tuesday in a joint operation by Rashtriya Rifles and the District Police Poonch from Mangnar area of Police Station Poonch.
The individual, identified as Mohd Khalil Lone, son of Dawood Lone of Bandipur district in the Kashmir valley, was apprehended after a meticulously planned and executed operation, the official said.
He said that preliminary investigations reveal that Khalil is associated with the proscribed terror organization Hizbul Mujahideen as a logistics provider and Over Ground Worker (OGW).
He was deputed to receive a consignment of arms and ammunition, the official said, adding that further investigation is going on. (KNO)
