J&K Govt reconstitutes SDA, JDA, LCMA

Srinagar, Aug 13: The administration of J&K has reconstituted the Srinagar Development Authority, Jammu Development Authority and J&K Lake Conservation & Management Authority (LCMA).
These three authorities have been reconstituted under the Jammu & Kashmir Development Act-1970.
While the notifications for reconstitution of SDA and JDA shall be deemed to come into effect from March 6, 2024, the notification for reconstitution of LCMA shall come into effect retrospectively from May 24, 2024.
The members of these bodies shall hold office for two years, the notifications state.
According to a notification, administrative secretary Housing & Urban Development Department would be chairperson of the Srinagar Development Authority (SDA).
The notification states that divisional commissioner Kashmir, commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, vice-chairperson Srinagar Development Authority, deputy commissioner Srinagar, representative of Finance department not below the rank of additional secretary/ special secretary, representative of Planning Development and Monitoring department not below the rank of additional secretary/ special secretary, representative of the Revenue department not below the rank of additional secretary/special secretary, representative of the department of Forest, Ecology and Environment not below the rank of additional secretary/ special secretary, chief architect J&K Architect Organisation, chief engineer R&B Kashmir and Chief Town Planner Kashmir would be members of SDA.
Similarly, administrative secretary Housing & Urban Development would be chairperson of the Jammu Development Authority (JDA).
According to the notification, divisional commissioner Jammu , commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, vice-chairperson Jammu Development Authority, deputy commissioner Jammu , representative of Finance department not below the rank of additional secretary/ special secretary, representative of Planning Development and Monitoring department not below the rank of additional secretary/ special secretary, representative of the Revenue department not below the rank of additional secretary/special secretary, representative of the department of Forest, Ecology and Environment not below the rank of additional secretary/ special secretary, chief architect J&K Architect Organisation, chief engineer R&B Jammu and Chief Town Planner Jammu would be members of the JDA.
In another notification, the government constituted J&K Lake Conservation & Management, which was earlier know as Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA).
While administrative secretary Housing & Urban Development Department would be its chairperson, divisional commissioner Kashmir, commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, vice-chairperson Srinagar Development Authority, deputy commissioner Srinagar, representative of Finance department not below the rank of additional secretary/ special secretary, representative of Planning Development and Monitoring department not below the rank of additional secretary/ special secretary, representative of the Revenue department not below the rank of additional secretary/special secretary, representative of the department of Forest, Ecology and Environment not below the rank of additional secretary/ special secretary, chief architect J&K Architect Organisation, chief engineer R&B Kashmir and Chief Town Planner Kashmir would be its members.
