Keep Kashmir connected

There has been no end to the road accidents as the reports being carried by the local media organizations confirms that the mishaps or accidents have been taking place in Jammu and Kashmir on almost every day. These reports are not new, but have been taking place since long, prompting the government to take a series of steps with regard to curbing such incidents. However, all such measures have failed to seize the number of road accidents here as one or two mishaps have been taking place almost every day, which has left many people dead and several others injured as well. One fails to understand the actual cause of such accidents. Nonetheless, officials and other people associated with traffic management have claimed that rash driving and non-adherence to the set norms are among the major causes of the road accidents. The million dollar question remains who will take a lead in ensuring all such norms and when will the commuters understand their responsibility. The government as well as the people have to remain intact with each other in terms of following the all the traffic rules and also the parents must not show any negligence by giving the vehicles to their unlicensed sons or daughters so that it will help in curbing the number of daily road accidents being reported from across the Jammu and Kashmir. The traffic department should also tighten its noose against the norm violators further to ensure that the rules set by the government are followed in letter and spirit.
