DLSA Budgam advocates for cleanliness, Swachh Bharat

Budgam, Oct 1: In a remarkable display of commitment to the principles of cleanliness and sustainable living, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Budgam, under the aegis of J&K Legal Services Authority spearheaded a stellar ‘Swatchata Abhiyaan’ at District Court Complex, Budgam.
Under the leadership of Chairman DLSA, Budgam, O.P Bhagat and under the guidance of Nusrat Ali Hakak, Secretary DLSA Budgam, ‘Swatchata Abhiyaan’ witnessed enthusiastic participation of dedicated staff members of DLSA, Budgam, members of the Legal Aid Defense Counsel (LADC), Penal Lawyers, devoted Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) and diligent officials from the Municipal Committee Budgam.
The event commenced with an inspiring cleanliness drive within the District Court Complex Budgam, setting the tone for a cleaner and greener environment. Participants in a collective effort to clean and beautify their surroundings took up brooms to sweep away the debris of neglect, breathing new life into the surroundings.
Speakers on the occasion emphasized that cleanliness is not just a virtue; it is a way of life. “It reflects our commitment to a healthier and more sustainable future. This initiative is a testament to the indomitable spirit of our community and our unwavering commitment to the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi”, they said.
The speakers also said that it is a reminder that the path to a cleaner and greener world begins with each one of us. “We must prioritize waste segregation and efficient management as part of our daily lives, for it is through these small steps that we can make an enormous impact,” they added.
The participants also took pledge that they shall take keen interest in keeping their surroundings neat and clean.
