Srinagar, Oct 14: Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, the Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, is likely to be relieved of his duties within a day or two, according to highly placed sources. This development comes as the government is set to be formed in Jammu and Kashmir this week.
As the Chief Minister and Council of Ministry take over, the role of advisors like Bhatnagar will cease to exist, and the UT Cabinet will assume responsibility for day-to-day operations.
Currently, Bhatnagar oversees several key departments, including Health & Medical Education, Public Works (R&B), Jal Shakti, Transport, Animal/Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Revenue, School Education, Higher Education, and Skill Development. [KNT]
